My journey
If there’s one constant in what I do, it’s change. I started programming at 15 in 2016, like many, with the HTML/CSS course on OpenClassrooms, then I moved on to JS, then PHP, and then I learned to use MySQL. Everything was an excuse to create a website, and I didn’t hold back. Good thing, because that’s how I learn best.
Still, these technologies were enough for my first client projects starting in 2018, after high school classes. Well, that plus coffee and a colossal sleep debt. These were my first serious projects, and what fun they were! Seeing through a project that truly matters to someone, creating back-office solutions, micro-CMS, custom and fun interfaces; it was full-stack product development before the term even became popular.
After that, I went through university, but it wasn’t really for me. I gained knowledge that I still use daily: systems, networks, database design, low-level programming.
What drives me
As long as I find something interesting, I can dive down the rabbit hole and come out with knowledge. It’s because I saw programming as modern magic that I started coding.
Ultimately, it’s this desire to understand what I use and what surrounds me that makes me love sharing so much. Knowledge is like wine: if you keep it to yourself, you deprive others of it, and it eventually goes bad anyway. I don’t believe in a world based on the artificial scarcity of knowledge.
Free software is a cause close to my heart, and I encourage everyone who can to reclaim their sovereignty over their tools by eliminating as many non-free components from their lives as possible. This sovereignty goes beyond software; the maker movement also resonates with me because it shares these same values of sovereignty and sharing.
Often, I participate in community events, like Capitole du Libre, DevFest Toulouse, THCon, as well as various meetups announced on Toulouse Tech Hub. Since 2025, I’ve been organizing the Postgres Toulouse User Group meetups with a team of volunteers.
